Isabelle Antena
Isabelle Antena was a classy French lady who created chilled out samba styled electronic sounds throughout the 80’s first with her band Antena and then as a solo artist, in a way she was a French version of Sade (in that she had a band named after her and made sexy sophisticated 80s tunes). In 1982 Antena released their debut LP Camino Del Sol which contained the classic Balearic track ‘Camino Del Sol’. A year later Antena released the lovely poppy melodic single ‘Be Pop’. After a few more single releases under Antena, Isabelle Antena released her first solo record En Cavale in 1986, this record included a number of tracks from the band Antena as well as this lovely, ‘Easy Street.’ For my last track I’ve picked a track from her second solo record Hoping For Love which which also happens to be my favourite Isabelle track, ‘Naughty, Naughty’.
